It’s the fresh, crisp fall air! How can you not love this season?? And what better way to enjoy the fall weather, than at an apple orchard!
You may have to travel far out to find the orchards, but they are well worth the drive! From low frills orchards to orchards with family fun attractions and fall festivals, I’ve got a great list below of popular u-pick apple orchards outside of the Chicagoland area.
Royal Oak Farm Orchard is my favorite apple orchard! It’s become an annual tradition to visit with my kids and to pick our favorite types of apples: Blondee. In addition to the U-pick orchard, there is also u-cut flower fields, an apple tree maze, hayrides, and a very low-frills activity area for kids that includes a small express train and barrel train rides, a carousel, petting zoo and playground.
U-Pick is open starting 8/24 through October. 1/4 Peck is $12.
